I found my way to Eastern Philosophy and Medicine through my love of mythology and Nature. I dove into meditation at 12 after moving to Michigan and found a home that would always be with me. By age 15 injuries and chronic pain forced me to find healing through Massage, Chiropractic and Nutrition. After graduating from Michigan State University with degrees in Sustainable Agriculture and Community Development, I began working with small farms and schools in Washington state. I found sanctuary and healing on the mat and cushion. Sitting with a Soto Zen community for years brought me face to face with the pain I had been carrying for so long, physically and emotionally. I gave myself completely to healing practices. I took my first yoga teacher training in 2002 in Seattle with Theresa Elliott and returned to Michigan to start a new life in the healing arts. In Grand Rapids, Mi I taught yoga, built community and became a Clinical Nutritionist, Herbal Medicine Practitioner and Medical Massage Therapist. In early 2009 I returned to the West Coast to follow my heart, deepen my studies of Ayurvedic Medicine, Yoga, Kashmiri Shaiva Philosophy and continue the adventure of LIFE with my beloved partner, the great Qi Chef, Surfer, Photographer, Patrick Bremser.
Among the most influential teachers for me are Desiree Rumbaugh, Sianna Sherman, Noah Maze, Abby Tucker, Behnje Masson, Rick Powell, Douglas Brooks, Giselle Mari, Jennifer Prugh and Erika Abrahamian. I began my practice with Kundalini Yoga with Ray Grace in Olympia, WA. The next 10 years were devoted to Anusara Yoga and Tantric Philosophy, teaching in Grand Rapids, MI and San Francisco/Bay Area, CA. Recently, I have developed an insatiable love of Ashtanga Yoga and practice in the San Jose area. I weave the heart of these practices with my lifetime study of Tantric/Buddhist/Shamanic non-dual Philosophy and my wild dedication to the Great Mother Earth.
